"Pulse" is a theoetical art gallery that I created and branded. It champions emerging, young artists and aims to inspire and excite with contemporary, innovative exhibitions. It is a visionary institution with an international outlook, embracing art from across the globe and re-awakening interest in artists once overlooked because of race and gender. "Pulse" is a space for artists currently making waves not only within the art world but throughout society as a whole. The target audience is liberals and contemporary art enthusiasts. Its competition would be The Whitney, MoMA, the Tate Modern and the Barbican in London. For the gallery's branding I played off of the idea of a pulse line. This is why the text is often displayed in dynamic ways. I also wanted to use the idea of reverberations that happen from a heart beat which resulted in the layered text and repeated forms.
